Perfect-ish: Time Management for Your Beautifully Imperfect Life

If you’re an ambitious, purpose-driven woman who refuses to let burnout or overwhelm hold you back, mastering time management isn’t just a nice idea—it’s essential. You don’t need a flawless system or a perfect routine. What you need is a way to perfect one thing at a time, while focusing on sustainable productivity, balance, and purpose. This is where intentional time management meets ambition, clarity, and self-care. This podcast is your go-to guide for creating a life where you’re at the top of your game without sacrificing your well-being. Every Tuesday, a new episode of Perfect-ish drops. This weekly podcast is a mix of solo episodes and insightful guest conversations, packed with practical strategies, expert advice, and real-life experiences. Whether you’re a mom, a business owner, a creative, or someone navigating corporate life—you deserve a system that works for your unique season, rhythm, and aspirations. Let’s get practical and intentional with time—not just managing it but aligning it with your values, goals, and self-care. Here’s what we’ll explore together 1. Mastering Your Priorities and Time Allocation. Learn how to prioritize your non-negotiable tasks, personal growth, and work commitments so that you’re dedicating time to things that truly matter. When you’re clear on your priorities, your calendar becomes a reflection of what you truly value—not what you feel obligated to do. 2. Setting Time Boundaries That Actually Work. Setting boundaries isn’t just about saying no; it’s about saying yes to what fuels you, energizes you, and aligns with your purpose. Whether it’s family time, self-care rituals, or focused work blocks, we’ll strategize how to protect your time fiercely but gracefully. 3. Effortless Planning and Time Optimization Strategies. Discover how to streamline your weekly planning, meal planning, grocery orders, and professional workflows with strategies that save time, reduce mental clutter, and create clear action steps. You’ll learn time optimization hacks to help you work smarter, not harder. 4. Sustainable Productivity Habits Without Burnout. We’ll discuss habits and routines that build consistent, long-term progress without burning out. It’s about finding a rhythm that grows your business, strengthens your relationships, and nurtures your inner world. This means balancing work, rest, social time, and personal growth with mindful intention. 5. Reclaiming Margin: Time for You, Time for What Matters. True time management isn’t just about productivity; it’s about margin. We’ll explore how to create time for self-care, reflection, creative pursuits, and spontaneity. Let’s build time buffers that prevent overwhelm and allow space for what truly feeds your heart and mind. 6. Perfect-ish, Not Perfect: Embracing Progress Over Perfection. Let’s stop chasing the illusion of perfection and instead focus on progress, small wins, and sustainable change. We’ll talk about creating a “done-it” list instead of a never-ending to-do list, celebrating progress, and showing up consistently—even if it’s not perfectly polished. With expert interviews, actionable insights, real-life strategies, and reflections, we’ll work together to help you create a system that prioritizes clarity, purpose, balance, and time alignment—not just for your business, but for your personal growth, relationships, and well-being. This isn’t about squeezing every minute out of your day—it’s about making every moment count, with intention, purpose, and self-respect. Let’s move beyond managing time and start mastering it with intention, focus, and a commitment to a perfectly imperfect life that’s aligned with your ambitions and your heart. So mark your calendar: every Tuesday, a new episode of Perfect-ish will drop, bringing you practical strategies, insightful conversations, and a supportive community dedicated to helping you stay focused, intentional, and aligned. Ready to reclaim your time, perfect your intention, and live your beautifully imperfect life with purpose? Let’s get to it—together.

🤱💼Is it possible to not work all the time when you're a momtrepreneur?  Are you allowed to take a break or to have a stopping point in your day?  After all, it's not healthy to replace a 9-5 with a 24/7 is it?  Let's honor having a handle on when to hustle and when to halt.

In Part ONE of our Momtrepreneur series, we talk about how to know when enough is enough.  Some of the ways we can start to have more balance include: Reflecting on your reasons for choosing this path, defining your ideal schedule, knowing if you're results-based or efforts-based, setting clear metrics and having visual cues to know when to stop for the day. Let's redefine how we manage our work and personal lives!  And give all the Momtrepreneurs permission to SAY NO to working all the time.

🎢Do you feel like you're on a hormonal rollercoaster? Whether you're wondering if it's "just you" -- or if you're going crazy -- or if those hot flashes and mood swings and all the classic symptoms are giving it away... it could be a sign that you're experiencing perimenopause.  And even though that subject may have been taboo for generations, it's something worth talking about and shining a spotlight on.  Thanks to women like today's guest, Katie Brula, board certified nurse practitioner, who specializes in women's health, we can pull up a chair and really GO THERE.

Katie has extensive experience in women’s health, navigating the journey of perimenopause, lifestyle medicine and integrative medicine.  And not just from a professional perspective, but from personal experience too.

She breaks down some less familiar signs that your body may be changing hormonally and gives 3 easy first steps to get yourself in a place where you can navigate these changes more evenly and effectively.

After all, the ultimate goal is to be able to feel like the powerful and capable YOU so you have the energy and emotions to make time for what matters.

Let's armor up and get ready to fight for what matters.

😩In today's world it's hard to NOT feel burned out, particularly among women. Is it inevitable?  Is it just part of living in this fast-paced, social-media driven, high-expectation time of life?  Is it something you can't change and just have to live with?

From overwhelming to-do lists to sleep issues, first, let's talk about the common signs of burnout and the serious consequences of ignoring them.   Those consequences can be staggering --- with potential risks ranging from mental health issues to physical illnesses like heart disease and worse.  In other words, we didn't come to play today!

To give some hope and help -- let's ask ourselves six crucial questions to help differentiate between burnout and other forms of fatigue.   Because other things in our life (or lack thereof) can come disguised as burnout when in reality, they are much more simple feelings or actions to take.  Which one is at the heart of your overwhelm?

And just as a reminder when approaching a topic as serious as this, if you feel on the edge of complete or severe burnout, we urge you to seek professional help.   That's not weakness, that's strength.

🔣Let's "add" in some MATH to our Time Management conversation.  And in this case, we are "adding" in,..... SUBTRACTION.   Many of us tend to be a "more is more" kind of person.  But is that really the best way to look at our lives and our schedules? What if you could hear a bunch of examples of people who discovered that taking away something actually gave them back so much more.

If you've ever heard content from "The Happiness Lab" podcast, then you'll know that we are always on a discovery journey of what really eliminates stress and overwhelm and what gives us more happiness and joy and peace.   It's actually not genetics or circumstances although those can play a part.  It's really all about CHOICE.

It's time to continue working on removing unnecessary clutter from our lives so we can restore balance and foster joy.  All within the realm of CHOICE.

And.... be sure to listen to the whole episode because you won't want to miss the ending mic drop -- especially if you've never heard of the 'Yes-Dang' effect and 'No-Yay' effect.

It's TIME to embrace the idea of subtraction so we can multiply our time, energy and priorities.

🧠There's something liberating about acknowledging that the conventional productivity techniques don't work for everyone.   Therapist and Social Media Content Creator Lindsay Fleming, LPC, is here to help us navigate the world of mental health, including ADHD, and how traditional time management strategies can fall short.

She shares that many times there is an internal stigma that can be a significant barrier to recognizing ADHD or other neurodiversity in oneself.  And that's why this conversation is so eye-opening and empowering.

Whether you struggle regulating your attention span, or emotions or routine or even sleep, you don't have to feel powerless or alone.

Lindsay is equipped not just professionally but also in her own personal journey of living with anxiety, dyslexia and an ADHD diagnosis.  In other words, she LIVES what she TEACHES.

If you're ready for some simple baby steps and some practical ideas, you'll feel your confidence and power returning after pressing play on this one.
