Perfect-ish: Time Management for Your Beautifully Imperfect Life
If you’re an ambitious, purpose-driven woman who refuses to let burnout or overwhelm hold you back, mastering time management isn’t just a nice idea—it’s essential. You don’t need a flawless system or a perfect routine. What you need is a way to perfect one thing at a time, while focusing on sustainable productivity, balance, and purpose. This is where intentional time management meets ambition, clarity, and self-care. This podcast is your go-to guide for creating a life where you’re at the top of your game without sacrificing your well-being. Every Tuesday, a new episode of Perfect-ish drops. This weekly podcast is a mix of solo episodes and insightful guest conversations, packed with practical strategies, expert advice, and real-life experiences. Whether you’re a mom, a business owner, a creative, or someone navigating corporate life—you deserve a system that works for your unique season, rhythm, and aspirations. Let’s get practical and intentional with time—not just managing it but aligning it with your values, goals, and self-care. Here’s what we’ll explore together 1. Mastering Your Priorities and Time Allocation. Learn how to prioritize your non-negotiable tasks, personal growth, and work commitments so that you’re dedicating time to things that truly matter. When you’re clear on your priorities, your calendar becomes a reflection of what you truly value—not what you feel obligated to do. 2. Setting Time Boundaries That Actually Work. Setting boundaries isn’t just about saying no; it’s about saying yes to what fuels you, energizes you, and aligns with your purpose. Whether it’s family time, self-care rituals, or focused work blocks, we’ll strategize how to protect your time fiercely but gracefully. 3. Effortless Planning and Time Optimization Strategies. Discover how to streamline your weekly planning, meal planning, grocery orders, and professional workflows with strategies that save time, reduce mental clutter, and create clear action steps. You’ll learn time optimization hacks to help you work smarter, not harder. 4. Sustainable Productivity Habits Without Burnout. We’ll discuss habits and routines that build consistent, long-term progress without burning out. It’s about finding a rhythm that grows your business, strengthens your relationships, and nurtures your inner world. This means balancing work, rest, social time, and personal growth with mindful intention. 5. Reclaiming Margin: Time for You, Time for What Matters. True time management isn’t just about productivity; it’s about margin. We’ll explore how to create time for self-care, reflection, creative pursuits, and spontaneity. Let’s build time buffers that prevent overwhelm and allow space for what truly feeds your heart and mind. 6. Perfect-ish, Not Perfect: Embracing Progress Over Perfection. Let’s stop chasing the illusion of perfection and instead focus on progress, small wins, and sustainable change. We’ll talk about creating a “done-it” list instead of a never-ending to-do list, celebrating progress, and showing up consistently—even if it’s not perfectly polished. With expert interviews, actionable insights, real-life strategies, and reflections, we’ll work together to help you create a system that prioritizes clarity, purpose, balance, and time alignment—not just for your business, but for your personal growth, relationships, and well-being. This isn’t about squeezing every minute out of your day—it’s about making every moment count, with intention, purpose, and self-respect. Let’s move beyond managing time and start mastering it with intention, focus, and a commitment to a perfectly imperfect life that’s aligned with your ambitions and your heart. So mark your calendar: every Tuesday, a new episode of Perfect-ish will drop, bringing you practical strategies, insightful conversations, and a supportive community dedicated to helping you stay focused, intentional, and aligned. Ready to reclaim your time, perfect your intention, and live your beautifully imperfect life with purpose? Let’s get to it—together.

First of all - how typical of Dawn to totally take over the beginning of the episode - AND how typical of both of us to think this is episode 40 when in fact, it is episode 39. Sigh. But that's why you're going to love hearing what happens when you get the two of us together - unscripted. We can definitely laugh with and at each other and you can certainly find us LAUGHING THROUGH THE UGLY CRY (shameless plug for Dawn's first best-selling book!)
In fact, there's something powerfully resilient about finding joy amidst life's valleys. One of the things I admire and respect about Dawn is how she shares that holding grief and joy simultaneously has been a profound journey for her. It's a poignant reminder of the sacred balance we all strive for.
So no matter the season of life you're in, especially if you're feeling that MID-LIFE BATTLE CRY (another shameless plug for Dawn's second best-seller!) then you're going to relate at how to get through the tough stuff with a lot of perspective and definitely some smiles when it's said and done.

It's time for a serious WAKE-UP CALL! Ever found yourself powering through fatigue, or even proud of how little sleep you've snagged - since that seems to be what our culture values in the hustle for success? Today is all about reflecting on how that's not a badge of honor but a fast track to burnout.
What started on a whim in our Tick Talk Tribe for sleep accountability for just ONE WEEK, completely unearthed a very little addressed topic of sleep and the lack thereof. So much so - it needed it's own episode. And a whole shift of the HOW and WHY that we need to bump this up to the top of the priority list.
Press PLAY and let's bust the myth that equates less sleep with greater success. Turns out, the real secret to resilience and joy might just be a solid eight hours.... or at least 7!

🎁This is the ULTIMATE BONUS EPISODE! First because when this podcast launched and I didn't know if anyone besides my mom and hubby were going to listen (mostly my mom!), I had a few delightfully unexpected friends who became FANS. And I noticed that one in particular would comment and affirm and then share HER ideas with me. From that, I just knew it was time for her to share her wisdom with our audience here. So thrilled to welcome Regan House to our Tick Talk family.
Regan had so many amazing ideas that time just flew and we could have gone on and on. One thought Regan started off with: Have you ever considered that the secret to a more fulfilling life lies in finding your own rhythm? It's not just about sticking to a rigid schedule or routine; it's about understanding and embracing the ebb and flow of life. And spoken like a former dancer, she really brings to life what that can look like in a practical way, whether you're waltzing through life or doing the cha-cha slide!
Together, we explore how discovering your personal rhythm can empower you to navigate life's challenges with grace and authenticity. From redefining your daily routines to embracing change, she shares some incredibly creative and also PRACTICAL insights and strategies to help you live in harmony with your unique rhythm - you're going to want to listen with your notepad and pen or your notes section open!
And Regan- we wish you well on YOUR upcoming podcast, we can't wait to be subscribers of THIS BLESSED HOUSE - coming soon. In the meantime:

👗Do you ever just stand in front of your closet and think: I have NOTHING to wear? Or do your clothes just make you feel "meh"? How about running behind because you can't ever decide what outfit to put on that day? My Feature Friday Guest, Image Consultant, Maranda Rains is the answer to your wardrobe prayers.
She's also the gal behind the "Time to be a BLESSIN" concept that we shared in Episode 23 with Professional Organizer, Emily Speed. But no one says it quite like Maranda. And no one can explain as easily as she does: how to understand the closet concepts of: Quality over Quantity, honoring your body, and just simplifying the 3 elements of how to know exactly what clothes to buy or keep and which ones to take off the hanger for good!
You're going to LOVE my southern sis and her heart for helping women look and feel great AND save time and money by knowing exactly what TO wear.

Have you been stuck on the road to a successful (aka workable, peaceful, productive, sustainable!) schedule? Do you feel like you're always dealing with veering off the road or a flat tire (or 4) or just not knowing if you're even going in the right direction? Or feel like everyone else is moving along just fine?
Today's conversation is all about checking the air pressure (yes - we ARE keeping this car analogy alive) on those 4 tires? You may be able to guess what most of the tires represent, but in this episode, we save the often overlooked and underestimated SELF-TALK "tire" for last. Let's kick that one around.
🧠 This shift in mindset can change our direction. Our internal dialogue can be our greatest coach or our harshest critic. I've been practicing turning self-doubt into self-dialogue, transforming the way I approach challenges and setbacks. It's not about silencing the critic; it's about changing the script.... the script in your own mind.
Let's see if we can't get you back on track -- picking up speed to make sure your schedule is one that feels like you've always hoped it could.

👣Look down at your feet - and get ready for an inspiring conversation with Erin Wilmer, a remarkable businesswoman, author, and devoted mother. Erin takes us on a journey from her challenging upbringing to discovering faith and achieving success in the financial industry and much more. Plus you'll find out why we had you look down.
I love our convo as Erin shares the power of being present, intentional, and trusting in God's guidance throughout her entrepreneurial journey. She shares the heart of her book, "God's Chocolate Chips," and reveals insights on facing rejection, redefining prosperity, and finding fulfillment beyond financial wealth.
You'll be so glad you have a new perspective on what you can and can't HAVE as a woman (hint, IT ALL!) and you'll never look at a chocolate chip cookie the same.

🕰️ Ever wonder how to unlock a time and energy mindshift? Did you know it could be as easy as as NOT asking the WRONG question?
🎙️ Not only do we discuss what that WRONG question is (that leads to the WRONG answer), but we will discuss how to change that question to the RIGHT one. That shift in the questioning helps overcome self-doubt and unlock potential and possibilities.
Believe it or not, asking the WRONG question almost meant that this podcast never even got started.
We would hate for that to happen to you.
If you're ready to ask and answer the simplest of questions for the most powerful answers, we've got you!
